Privacy Policy

Getch Work (getchwork.in) is operated by M Aravind, an individual, at 8/1829C, Ponmalar Street, Pandiyan Nagar East, Ponnammal Nagar, Neripperichal, Puluvapatti, Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu 641602 ("we", "us"). We decide why and how your personal data is used, so under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the Data Fiduciary.

From everyone who signs up: your name, email address, password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form by our login provider) and whether you are a candidate or a company.

From candidates:

• Profile: college, degree, graduation year, city, track, phone number, LinkedIn or portfolio link, years of experience, an optional profile photo and your resume.
• Interview: video and audio recordings of your answers (audio only if you have no camera), the transcript, the questions asked, timing, and checks such as whether a second voice was heard or an answer sounded read aloud.
• Work samples you upload or link, and your description of them.
• Documents you upload (degree certificate, marksheet, offer letter, payslip, experience letter, professional licence) and the details we read from them, including any ID number printed on them.
• Work history you ask us to confirm: employer name, the employer email address you give us, your role and dates, and the employer's reply.
• If you are hired through Getch Work, what the company tells us about the hire at 90 and 180 days.

From companies: company name, GST number, industry, company size, the contact person's name and email, the roles you post, the candidates you unlock, and payment records (amount, date and payment reference).

Technical: your login session is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

• To run your account and sign you in.
• To hold your recorded interview, score it and check your evidence.
• To show verified companies a blind listing of your skills and evidence, and to let a company contact you after it unlocks your profile.
• To email employers you list, asking them to confirm your work history.
• To tell you when a company unlocks your profile, and to follow up on hires.
• To take payments from companies and keep the records the law requires.
• To prevent fraud, keep the service secure and meet our legal duties.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not show advertising.

We use AI models from Anthropic to write interview follow-up questions, score interviews, read resumes, review work samples and check documents for errors or signs of tampering. Interview audio is turned into text by AssemblyAI.

Your verification level and scores are calculated automatically from the evidence. Anything the system flags as suspicious is recorded for a person to review; it never rejects you on its own. Our staff can review and change a level.

If you think a score or level is wrong, write to grievance@getchwork.in and a person will review it.

Only companies we have verified can browse candidates.

Before a company unlocks you, it sees: your track, city, verification level, scores and signals, experience band, availability, interview date, your work-sample descriptions and review notes with your name removed, and the names of employers who confirmed your work. It does not see your name, phone, email, photo or recordings.

After a company unlocks you, it also sees: your name, phone number and email; expected monthly salary when provided; About text; education details including institution; self-reported employer details, roles, dates and work-history descriptions; interview recordings and transcript from your latest scored interview; and reviewed work-sample files or links, where available. Your photo is shown only if you have chosen to share it with unlocking companies. We email you each time this happens and tell you which company it was.

Candidates who see matching open roles can see the company's name, industry, size, city, verified status, about text, website and logo, where available. Contact person details (name and role) appear only if that company has unlocked the candidate.

Once a company has your contact details, it is responsible for how it uses them and must use them only to consider you for a job.

We use these service providers to run Getch Work. They process data only on our instructions:

• Supabase, through Lovable Cloud: database, file storage and sign-in.
• Lovable and Cloudflare: website hosting.
• Anthropic (USA): AI questions, scoring and checks.
• AssemblyAI (USA): turning interview audio into text.
• Resend (USA): sending our emails.
• Razorpay (India): taking payments from companies. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details; we keep only the payment reference, amount and date.
• Google: website fonts. On Chrome, live captions during your interview use the browser's own speech service, which sends audio to Google.
• Google and Cloudflare DNS: checking that an employer's email domain and a work-sample link are real.

We also share your name, role and dates with the employer you ask us to contact, and the details above with companies.

We may disclose data when the law requires it, for example to a court or a government authority with a valid order.

Some of these providers process data outside India, including in the USA. We only send what each service needs.

• Interview video and audio: 12 months.
• Transcripts, answers, scores, verification checks and employment confirmations: 36 months.
• Uploaded document files: 12 months. The details read from them are kept with your profile.
• Work-sample files: 36 months.
• Accounts unused for 24 months: we email you at 22 months, then raise the account for deletion unless you sign in.
• In-app notifications: 90 days after you read them, or 12 months if unread.
• Security logs: 90 days for routine entries and 12 months for alerts. Payment event records from our payment provider: 180 days.
• Backups: encrypted nightly copies of our text records are kept for a limited time and then removed (the last 30 daily backup files plus the earliest backup of each month within the past 365 days).

We keep payment and invoice records for as long as the law requires, for example for tax. An open data request pauses deletion of that person's data until it is settled.

• See your data: the "Your data" page shows what we hold and when it will be deleted, and lets you download a copy.
• Correct it: edit your profile, or write to us.
• Delete it: request deletion from the "Your data" page or by email. A person handles every request, within 30 days.
• Withdraw consent: you can stop at any time. We will stop using your data for that purpose, though work already done is not undone.
• Nominate someone to act for you if you die or cannot act yourself.
• Complain: write to our Grievance Officer. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Files are kept in private storage. When a company unlocks your profile, links to stored recordings and reviewed work-sample files expire after 15 minutes. External work-sample links follow the linked site's own access rules. Staff candidate queue views and evidence opens are logged.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Getch Work is only for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

If we make an important change, we will email you or show a notice on the site before it applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.
